Hi! I’m Jeanie.
I am a researcher, writer, entrepreneur, and perpetual learner on a mission to make everyday wellness easy and efficient. I once worked as a legal investigator at a fast-paced law firm, which gave me a firsthand experience of the detrimental effects of stress on health. I made the conscious decision to prioritize time and health over salary, retiring early and channeling my research skills towards studying ways to optimize health.
When my mom was diagnosed with dementia, it shattered our family. I redirected my focus to learn everything possible to try and avoid the dementia that held my mom captive for six agonizing years. I wasn't just an advocate for her; I delved deep into research to understand what I could do to minimize my risk of facing the same fate.
I've traveled the world extensively, spending some time in the Blue Zones, with a significant focus on health and longevity through lifestyle. I often teach cooking classes, sharing easy, efficient, and delicious ways to cook using neuroprotective ingredients. My emphasis is on minimizing inflammation and maximizing brain function. I aim to help others understand the reasons behind making healthy choices for both the brain and body.
Recently, I completed a Soil to Table certification program at Tres Estrellas organic farm, where I focused on learning and practicing regenerative farming techniques. I firmly believe that your DNA isn't always your destiny - sometimes, your dinner plate can determine your destiny.
